This winter, Springhead is offering a variety of ways to help people stay warm and save money.
The Warm Space is open seven days a week: on Monday and Tuesday from 07:00-14:30 and again from 18:00-22:00; on Wednesday and Thursday from 07:00-18:00; on Friday from 07:00-13:00; and on weekends from 07:00-14:30.
Affordable meal options include the Affordable Breakfast Club every Tuesday from 7:30-11:30 for just £3, allowing you to choose one item from Menu A (Porridge, Pancakes, or Cereal) and one from Menu B (Eggs, Beans or Tomatoes on Toast, or an Omelette). The Affordable Supper Club is available on Thursdays from 14:00-18:00, with meals costing £3.50.
Daily activities include the Over 55’s Bee Social (hosted by Age UK) on Mondays from 12:00-14:30 for £3 and Knit and Natter on Tuesdays from 13:00-15:00, which is free to all.
Additional support is available from Groundwork’s Green Doctors, who will host the first Debt Support and Energy Advice Drop-in of the winter season on Monday, November 17th, from 11:00 to 14:00. This session provides one-to-one energy support and help for those facing difficulties, with further dates to be scheduled throughout the winter.
