Springhead Park

Springhead Park Golf Club was founded in 1930 and was originally a municipal golf course operated by Hull City Council. This changed in May 2014 when the Groundwork Trust took over the operation of the facility.

In the years after Groundwork taking control grants were secured to provide funding for improvements on the course and in the clubhouse. Significant investments have been made to improve drainage on the course and provide improved facilities in the clubhouse.

The golf course is a mature parkland layout that effectively acts as greenbelt land between the City of Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. The course boasts tree-lined fairways on every hole and a variety of hazards and features to challenge golfers of all abilities. The original design of the course has been adapted over the years to fit in with housing developments encroaching close to the boundary of the course. The 2 new greens on the 9th and the 15th hole are now well established. The groundstaff and management are always striving to improve the course year by year.

The club has produced many excellent golfers over the years including a number of golfers good enough to go on to represent the East Riding , Yorkshire , England and play professionally on the European Tour.
