Following members concerns about the condition of the greens, we sought professional advice regarding the damage caused by worm casts and bird pecking. After consulting with the British & International Golf Greenkeepers Association and Green Thumb Lawn Treatment Service, we were advised against using any chemicals on the greens. Instead, the recommendation is to maintain the greens at a short height.
Starting Monday 27th January, all 18 greens and the practice area will undergo spiking, followed by top dressing and feeding. While the greens may not look their best during this process, these steps are essential for improving the condition of the course in preparation for the next treatment phase.
We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve the quality of the course.
